DiCE (Digital Clinical Excellence) released a set of Best practice guidelines for the asynchronous prescribing of medicines online, and a kitemark for participants of the DiCE forum, at an event at the House of Lords (01 May 2024).
DiCE is network of digital healthcare providers who came together in 2019 to support clinical improvement, safety, and excellence in digital healthcare.
Dr Fox was a founding participant of the DiCE forum, and Dan Broughton (Director) and Claire Pugh (Medical Officer) were present for the evening’s presentation at the House of Lords, with many online healthcare providers and regulators in attendance.
The Best practice guidelines (BPGs) are complimentary to the statutory standards of the UK’s regulators (CQC, GPhC, GMC, and MHRA). The first 3 BPGs are for male pattern hair loss, injectables for weight loss, and HRT (Hormone replacement therapy). The DiCE forum aims to product further BPGs in the coming months.
